224 Performance Management is a boutique sports management firm providing comprehensive representation and advisement services tailored to each individual athlete and his/her unique goals. Unlike larger agencies where athletes are often ‘ a monetary number’, 224 Performance works individually with both established and up-and-coming athletes to maximize their training, development and career progression, advising, contract work, sponsor endorsement negotiations, and more.
The firm prides itself in the personal, long-term relationships developed with its athletes, and invests the time, attention and expertise to identify the right opportunities to help client athletes achieve their goals. 224 Performance was founded in 2017 by Johnston Hobbs. After years of collegiate and concierge coaching, and advising work with athletes of all levels, Johnston partnered with long-time friend and attorney, Pankaj (PK) Shere to start 224 Performance Sports Management. PK brings deep, national and international experience in contract negotiation, litigation and strategic representation to each client and together, Johnston and PK assemble a team of trusted experts and resources to provide comprehensive solutions and guidance aligned to individual goals.
A seasoned trial attorney, PK serves as lead counsel in intellectual property, business, and general litigation suits across a variety of industries, including the entertainment and sports industry. He also represents individuals and companies, in matters involving patent, trademark and copyright clearance, registration, enforcement, and litigation. PK is an invaluable strategic partner and fierce advocate for his clients having served as lead counsel on contract negotiations and litigation matters.
PK often serves as lead counsel for complex negotiations on transactional matters including joint ventures, asset purchases, contract drafting and reviews and other business operation matters. This unique blend of litigation and transactional skill makes him a valuable resource for 224 Performance clients.
In 2017, PK was invited to join the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a prestigious national organization of judges and civil trial lawyers. ABOTA’s membership constitutes the bench mark of the nation’s finest trial lawyers and membership is by invitation only. PK was also selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®: 2013 – 2017. He maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, a prestigious peer review rating which recognizes attorneys who have reached high levels of skill and integrity.
